Indiana Auto Accident: An Indiana jury awards $18.5 million in accident case
The Flyer Group reported that in July of this year an Indiana jury awarded $18.5 million to Plaintiffs in a car accident case in Hendricks County. The case involved an accident between a car and a semi-tractor trailer while on I-74.
The company that owned the semi denied any responsibility for the accident. At trial the jury heard the evidence and after deliberating returned a verdict holding the Semi truck company responsible.
The crash resulted in the operator of the car suffered significant brain injuries which would be one of the reasons that the verdict was so high.
